Voting is an essential right and responsibility all citizens have.

Our Get Out the Vote campaigns serve two purposes: reminding adults of their collective power to shape their communities, and showing our scholars that although they are not yet old enough to vote, they are never too young to advocate for causes about which they are passionate!

Throughout the year, scholars learn about the functions of government institutions, run voter registration drives, lobby elected officials, study current events, and develop the habits of engaged citizens.

In 2019, Democracy Prep Public Schools scholars registered over 200 people to vote, and got over 700 community members to pledge to vote in the General Election!
